food is a connector
When the SNAP freeze went into effect, I started panic-brainstorming how I could help. I reached out to an amazing Family Ramble mom who works with Stone Soup Cafe in Greenfield, MA to ask how I could support their work. Stone Soup provides pay-what-you-can meals and is a critical food access point for many in Franklin County and beyond.
Later that day, I received a newsletter from Natural Roots Farm in Conway, MA, where we get our bountiful weekly veggie share. Farmer Maggie announced the Thanksgiving Market, an annual tradition with vegetables and local artisan goods for sale.
And with those two pieces, Community Sup(portraits) was born. I'm so excited to work with Natural Roots and Stone Soup to get more food to more families in our shared community. I hope to see you at the farm. Keep reading for more.
